About

The Reggio Emilia Philosophy
The Reggio Emilia Philosophy is an approach to teaching and learning that focuses on advocating for children, their rights in society and the many languages in which they express themselves. Our goal is to honor the unique time that is childhood.

Through an inquiry and play-based approach, children have the freedom to explore their interests with the support of their families, teachers, peers, community and their learning environments.

Meet Logan Zeman
Hi there! I’m Logan Zeman (she/her), an Early Childhood and Elementary Educator, Consultant, and the founder of Rocky Mountain Reggio. With over 13 years of experience as a teacher and director in Reggio-inspired classrooms, I’m passionate about helping educators feel inspired in their practice and supported in honoring the wonder and uniqueness of childhood.

My journey has taken me from the foothills of Colorado to classrooms and schools around the world. I’ve spent eight years teaching abroad in international schools in China and several years working in both public and private school settings here in Colorado. My background also includes a strong focus on the arts... I served as the Art Director at the Dublin Children’s Museum in Ireland, where I integrated process-based art into immersive learning experiences for children of all ages.

As a consultant, I’ve had the privilege of partnering with schools and educators internationally over the past five years, offering workshops, coaching, and curriculum support rooted in the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach. Whether I’m working one-on-one with a teacher, guiding a team through reflective practice, or designing nature-inspired learning materials, my goal is always the same: to help educators reconnect with the joy of teaching and to view children as capable, creative, and full of potential.

My Background
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University, followed by a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado. I’m ECE qualified and licensed as a Large Center Director in the state of Colorado. I’ve continued my professional learning through programs in Reggio Emilia, Italy, as well as training in Positive Discipline, Projects Based Leaning, and Adaptive Schools.

My teaching practice is deeply influenced by the arts, neuroscience, nature, and a belief in the power of relationships. I see the environment as the third teacher and value co-constructing learning experiences alongside children that are meaningful, inquiry-based, and rooted in joy.
